Eu já gostei muito de comédia romântica, mas hoje, parece-me assim: casal se esbarra ao acaso, encontra uma dificuldade inicial para ficarem juntos; vencida a dificuldade, ficam juntos: ou vão ter sexo, ou vão "morar juntos". Isso é a banalização do amor.
Hoje gosto de filmes que realmente retratem o amor, aqueles com grande dor, grande dificuldade, muitas vezes sem final feliz, e que normalmente transcende alguns anos de sofrimento: é assim em: A Casa dos Espíritos, Como Água para Chocolate, A Época da Inocência e também, O Amor em Tempos do Cólera.
Não vou comparar esse filme com o livro do Gabriel García Márquez simplesmente por que esse deve ser bem melhor, e se assisto o filme é por que não tenho tempo de ler o livro.
O filme apresenta-nos, simplesmente, uma das mais belas histórias de amor que eu já ouvi falar, ou contar: um amor longo, bonito, dificil; o amor eterno de um homem por uma mulher; um amor incondicional, que não exige nada em troca, que simplesmente acompanha esse homem até o final de seus dias, sem nunca o abandonar.
A nossa Fernanda Montenegro faz um belo papel no filme, e também existem cenas com bela fotografia.
Esta é uma bela história de amor, que não deve deixar de ser assistida.
